Game tonight

Anthony and I are going to the Milano Celtic game tonight. We're both very excited because Scots are going to be every where! Right now my camera isn't working, so I'm afraid there aren't going to be any pictures from the game posted.

I know I haven't been good at posting lately. It's mostly because I don't feel like anything going on lately is blog worthy. So leave comments with what you wanna know about. Thanks!

New stuff, new post.

Anthony is home safe and sound! After buying a new tire for the Fiat van out of his pocket, he and the guys got home around 4:30 in the morning on Saturday. Luckily for me, he drove the van home and I didn't have to pick him up. Unluckily for me, he got home at 4:30 in the morning.

While Anthony was gone, Valentine's day happened. And it's looking like we're going to miss our first anniversary together because of more training. But! He did still get me presents even though he was working 7 days a week in Germany. He ordered them online and had them sent to the house. Let me tell you how hard it is to not open a box when the customs tag says "jewelry" on it. But I stayed strong and now I have a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. I also got a pair of silk pj's but they are too big so we'll have to send them back. What did I get for Anthony? Well I made him a really cool card and got him a universal remote. I know it doesn't measure up to diamond earrings but it counts for something right?

We went to Ikea this weekend. The Ikea in Padova is so cool. It's three stories of housewares magic. And it's really affordable. Here's what we got for just over 300 euro:

What a steal, right?

p.s. if you are one of my two parents and you are reading this, let me know y'all are alive. I haven't heard from you in too long. And I love you.

“I've discovered that the less I say, the more rumors I start.”

There's been all kinds of loose talk running around the post. I'm trying hard not to believe what I hear until I hear it from Anthony, but it's hard. I can't even post about it because of opsec. Or talk on the phone about it... So I'm left just sitting here wondering.

Anthony gets back on Thursday praise the Lord. He'll have been gone 31 days on his "three week" trip he told me about last month. Plus I haven't been able to talk to him really because he had to give his government cell phone to soldiers for missions. I understand completely, though. Poor thing is probably completely tuckered out. He always gets sick when he's gone from working so hard. I hope the deployment isn't this hard on him. I might not have much of a husband left after that year away if it is.

Super Bowl

Well, this is the first time in years I've missed the Super Bowl. Not because I'm a particularly big fan of football or anything but I still like to watch. I just couldn't stay up until midnight to watch the game for another four hours. I thought about making nachos in the spirit of the day and to keep my American ties strong. But I ate Italian ham on a baguette instead. *shrugs*

I did catch Extreme Home Makeover though. I cried from start to finish. 2 hours. Of course while Anthony's away. It was about a woman soldier that died in Iraq doing the same thing Anthony's going to be doing when he goes. On top of that it was a Native American family so there was all kinds of heritage and about warriors. It was intense. I suggest that if your husband is in the Army not to watch it.

I can breathe through my nose again

Man, Tuesday night something just hit me outta no where and I had full on blockage in my face. I got home after Italian class and went straight to bed. When I woke up the next morning I could have stayed in bed the whole day. But I toughed it out and went to work in a daze. When I got home after Bible study, I was in bed before 9:30.

I feel tons better today. It was like the mystery bug. I'll probably still go to be early tonight after Italian class.

Is anyone else ready for Anthony to come home of is it just me?
