Quick VCD recipe

That Paulo was nice enough to make for me

Ingredents:

  • Video should be in MPEG-1 format
  • Video size should be 352×240
  • Video should be at bitrate of 1.15 Kbps
  • Video frame rate should be at 29.97 frames per sec
  • Audio should be 44.1 KHz, stereo, 224 Kbps
  • Make sure you are making a MPEG-1 VCD in TMPGEnc.

Here are the three tabs you need to set in TMPGEnc:

Once it’s converted, just use Nero to make a VCD (see VCDHelp.com on that). It’s just drag and drop. Make sure to burn it as a “compliant CD”.

Uh, you will want to use a CD-RW because most DVD players cannot read CD-R’s, check on capatability at http://vcdhelp.com
